YFC in collaboration with OMO Unilever has conducted a 3-week plastic recycling program in multiple GEMS schools around UAE to encourage and enlighten the young generation regarding recycling plastics and a zero-waste lifestyle Around 3000 students of the age group participated in this program. They had the opportunity to learn about plastic pollution, importance of segregation and plastic recycling through various activities. Students showed their interest through their involvement in daily plastics collection, active participation in games and upcycling project. We were able to collect 853kgs of plastic in only 13 days! Reel in 500 upcycling submissions and expose 7000 students ranging across the span of 3 schools. Along with which we had a whopping 87% positive rating of the WFG campaign! Overall, the Waste For Good campaign was nothing short of a dashing success.
